Egyptian god of kingship, sky, and protection, worshipped from prehistoric times to Roman Egypt. Depicted as a falcon or falcon-headed man, Horus had many forms, including a national god of Nekhen. Son of Isis and Osiris, he avenged his father against Set, claiming his rightful throne.
