About WikiTCG

WikiTCG is a free trading card game that turns Wikipedia articles into collectible holographic cards. Every card is based on a real Wikipedia article, brought to life with stunning 3D holographic effects powered by Three.js. Players can open packs, collect cards across themed series, battle in strategic 4x4 grid combat, trade on the marketplace, cooperate in multiplayer raids, and fuse cards together.

WikiTCG was created by Vijay Pemmaraju and launched in March 2026. Built with Astro, Svelte, and Three.js, and hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Card content is derived from Wikipedia under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 license.

• Holographic 3D cards -- Every card features cursor-reactive holographic effects that escalate with rarity, from subtle sheen on Commons to prismatic foils on Legendary Rares.
• Curated collections -- Cards are organized into 12 themed series covering science, history, nature, space, mythology, art, and more. Every card is a notable, interesting Wikipedia article.
• Strategic battles -- The 4x4 grid-based battle system features card placement strategy, 7 unique abilities (Shield, Pierce, Rally, Ambush, Anchor, Leech, Taunt), and 6 type affinities with rock-paper-scissors advantages.
• Multiplayer raids -- Team up with 2-6 players to take down raid bosses in real-time across 3 difficulty tiers.
• Trading marketplace -- Buy, sell, and trade cards with other players.
• Card fusion -- Combine cards to create new ones with different rarities and affinities.
