About Bellerophon
Corinthian hero, son of Poseidon. Bellerophon tamed Pegasus with Athena's bridle, then slew the Chimera, a fire-breathing monster of Greek myth. He later angered the gods by attempting to ride Pegasus to Olympus. Bellerophon is considered a pre-Heracles monster slayer.
