"Bird mimic" theropod from Late Cretaceous North America. Ornithomimus was a swift, feathered, bipedal dinosaur with a toothless beak. O. velox, the type species, was named in 1890 from Colorado. O. edmontonicus skeletons are known from Alberta, Canada.
