William Gibson
About William Gibson
Born in 1948, William Gibson is a US-Canadian author known for pioneering cyberpunk. His 1980s noir stories explored technology's impact, coining "cyberspace" in 1982. Neuromancer (1984) popularized the matrix, renovating science fiction. He later co-authored the steampunk novel, The Difference Engine, and explored near-future sociology before returning to science fiction themes.
