American author Harlan Ellison (1934-2018) wrote over 1,700 works, impacting speculative fiction's New Wave. Known for "Star Trek's" "City on the Edge of Forever," the "A Boy and His Dog" cycle, and "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream," his anthologies *Dangerous Visions* (1967) and *Again, Dangerous Visions* (1972) were also influential. He won multiple Hugo, Nebula, and Edgar awards.
