Early Jurassic marine reptile from England's Lias. *Plesiosaurus* grew to 3.5m with a small head, long neck, and broad body. Its two pairs of paddles propelled it through ancient seas. The type species, *P. dolichodeirus*, defines the Plesiosauria order, though other species have been reclassified.
