Late Jurassic sauropod from the US, 156-146 mya. "Thunder lizard" was named in 1879, then reclassified as Apatosaurus until 2015. Robust neck vertebrae and whip-like tail distinguished this herbivore, reaching 75 ft and 20 tons.
