Pygmy killer whale
About Pygmy killer whale
Feresa attenuata is a rarely seen oceanic dolphin, the sole species in genus Feresa. Described by John Gray in 1874 from skulls, it was formally named in 1954 by Munesato Yamada after a 1952 sighting. It's the smallest cetacean with "whale" in its name, known for aggressive captive behavior not observed in the wild.
