Novelty radio receiver built into a pith helmet, 1949. American Merri-Lei Corp. of Brooklyn, NY, sold it for $7.95. The "Man-from-Mars Radio Hat" used vacuum tubes, visible with the loop antenna and tuning knob. It came in eight colors and received stations within 20 miles.
