Ford built this mid-engine racer to beat Ferrari at Le Mans in the '60s. Mk I models, with 4.7L V8s, were FIA homologated. Rule changes limiting prototypes to 3.0L engines allowed 5.0L Mk I variants to win in '68 and '69, after earlier 7.0L wins.
